High-end Equipment Industrial Park opens in Nansha

The GAC Industrial Holdings Greater Bay Area High-end Equipment Industrial Park, with a total investment of 4.7 billion yuan ($673.98 million), has commenced operations in Nansha.

Located within the Nansha Suigang Intelligent Manufacturing Base, the park serves as a core platform for GAC Industrial Holdings Group to implement the "Nansha Plan" and will focus on developing high-end manufacturing sectors, including marine engineering equipment, rail transit equipment, and clean energy equipment.

Utilizing Nansha's port-side advantages, the park features a 1,500-metric-ton heavy-duty equipment terminal that provides an efficient export channel and enables end-to-end digital and intelligent control through smart management platforms and green energy systems. It is projected to generate over 30 million kWh of clean electricity annually.

Several central and local State-owned enterprises, including China Construction Science and Technology, CRCC Equipment, and Guangzhou Heavy Machinery Group, signed agreements at the opening ceremony to establish a presence in the park and to form ecosystem partnerships with multiple institutions in areas such as industrial chain collaboration and financial services.

The park will concentrate on tackling key technological challenges, promoting Guangzhou's intelligent manufacturing globally, and injecting new momentum into the development of the high-end equipment industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
