Nansha launches diverse New Year celebration series

With the New Year holiday approaching, Guangzhou's Nansha district has launched a variety of festive activities, offering a multi-day extravaganza of joy.

Wanqingsha town will host a food market, a New Year's Eve party, and check-in cycling events at the Greater Bay Area Culture and Sports Centre. Huangge town has organized a classical-style garden fair at Dashanna Forest Park, featuring local cultural performances such as qilin and lion dances.

Hengli town will present a tent music festival, fireworks with artificial snowfall, and a youth New Year's Eve concert. Dongchong town, with a national style theme, has planned a series of experiences including a Water Flower Goddess competition and Hanfu — traditional Chinese costume — parades.

Furthermore, Dagang town, Lanhe town, Zhujiang sub-district, and other areas have prepared special activities such as a basketball music festival, lion dance performances, Xiangyunsha (gambiered Guangdong silk) exhibitions, and a clay oven chicken festival. These events blend traditional culture with modern trends, creating a festive New Year atmosphere.

Most activities are free and open to the public, accompanying everyone in warmly welcoming the New Year.
