On Dec 6, a talent recruitment fair, serving as a key component of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum, was held at the Guangzhou Nansha International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Aligned with Nansha's strategic industrial focus, including artificial intelligence and the low-altitude economy, the fair featured over 70 leading companies, targeting professional technical talents and recent graduates. The event attracted more than 1,400 job seekers, received over 660 resumes, and resulted in 199 preliminary employment agreements, demonstrating its significant success.
Deeply embedded in the forum's scientific ecosystem, the recruitment fair promoted a mutual empowerment of "talent + technology". Institutions such as the Guangdong Institute of Aerospace Technology and the Southern Power Grid Research Institute participated in on-site recruitment, engaging with interdisciplinary high-end R&D talent and strengthening the connection among industry, academia, research, and application.
To attract and retain talent, Nansha has introduced various open policies. These include rewards of up to 3 million yuan ($424,500) for high-level talents, living subsidies for young professionals, support for travel and accommodation for graduates, and incentives for enterprises to recruit talent. A dedicated policy consultation zone was set up at the event to provide detailed guidance.
Moving forward, Nansha will continue to utilize top-tier platforms, enhance systems for attracting, gathering, and retaining talent, and accelerate the development of a globally competitive hub for scientific and technological talent.
