The 2025 Guangzhou Open concluded on Oct 26 at the Nansha International Tennis Center.
On the final day, Chinese heritage player Ann Li won the singles title by defeating Sun Lulu 7-6(6), 6-2. This was her first tour-level win in four years. After the match, Li thanked the audience in Chinese, saying playing in China felt like playing at home. The victory boosted her world ranking to a career-high No 33.

The international duo of Poland's Katarzyna Piter and Indonesia's Janice Tjen won the doubles championship after a comeback, defeating their opponents 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. Janice Tjen called Nansha her lucky place, as this victory marked her first WTA doubles title.

The Guangzhou International Women's Open has taken place in Nansha for three consecutive years. Along with the tournament, a tennis carnival was held to encourage the blending of culture, commerce, tourism, and sports.
