During the 138th Canton Fair from Oct 15 to Nov 4, Nansha district is highlighting its role as the "heart of the Greater Bay Area" by enhancing port services and promoting its vibrant culinary culture.

Nansha Passenger Port introduced a dedicated Canton Fair passage and a pre-declaration app, cutting average clearance times to under five minutes. From Oct 1-20, the port saw a more than twofold increase in inbound passenger flow compared to the previous year.

The port also increased the frequency of routes to destinations like Hong Kong International Airport, offering the shortest waterway journey between Guangzhou and Hong Kong at just 70 minutes.

Nansha Customs improved tax refund services by establishing dedicated verification counters, boosting efficiency by 90 percent.

"It's so nice being able to complete the tax refund process right at the Nansha Passenger Port without having to go to the airport," said Juma Khan, a traveler from India.

Local businesses, including Nansha Universal City, Sheraton Hotel, and popular eateries, are providing exclusive discounts for Canton Fair attendees with valid credentials.

At the Canton Fair Music and Cuisine Festival, Nansha is showcasing its culinary diversity with the "Bay Area Food Gateway" exhibition, featuring traditional dishes, creative local foods, and gourmet coffee, sharing Nansha's unique food culture with the world.
