Chunlong Island Resort offers integrated coastal experience

Updated: 2025-10-17nansha.guangdong.chinadaily.com.cn

The Chunlong Island Resort opened its doors to the public in the Longxue sub-district of Guangzhou's Nansha district on Oct 15. The new area features three main integrated zones: a harbor dining area, modern coastal accommodation, and extensive wetland leisure facilities.

The dining area uses the region's status as "Hometown of Chinese Butter Crabs". This uniqueness is highlighted by a crab-themed restaurant which offers a sophisticated menu featuring classic Cantonese dishes and traditional specialties from the Tanka fishing village. The accommodation zone combines RV camping, rural homestays, and water golf courses to create an immersive coastal retreat. The leisure area offers boardwalk viewing, eco-camping sites, and water recreation facilities for integrated ecological and cultural experiences.

The opening day activities continued throughout the afternoon, featuring offerings such as fishing, water gun battles, and a parent-child fishing derby. These activities were set against the picturesque harbor backdrop, accompanied by live performances from local musicians. Evening festivities began with a Tanka-style banquet where Cantonese cuisine complemented local seafood, followed by karaoke and dance performances. The celebration culminated with a whole lamb roast, creating a festive atmosphere.

This multi-functional resort provides visitors from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a new coastal experience encompassing sunset views, egret watching, and butter crab tasting.
