The event, attended by approximately 200 government officials, tourism representatives, and media, highlighted Nansha's strategy to utilize the 2025 National Games to enhance its district profile. New initiatives were launched, including cultural products, themed tours focused on the Games, and a deepened partnership with Hong Kong and Macao travel agencies to attract more international visitors.
A key focus is the development of the Nansha Rising Sun brand, centered around its 20-kilometer scenic coastline. Official recognition was granted to several attractions along this route, which form part of Guangzhou's new "Eight Scenic Spots". The brand aims to showcase Nansha's identity as a vibrant coastal hub, featuring landmarks like the Tianhou Palace and Puzhou Garden.
Nansha now plans to roll out themed public transport and sports carnivals, using youth-oriented events to solidify its reputation as a premier cultural and tourism destination within the Greater Bay Area.
