A seminar marking the third anniversary of the Nansha Plan was held in Hong Kong on Sept 16.

Over the past three years, Nansha has delivered impressive results. Partnership in science and technology in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region has strengthened, with 19 joint research projects launched.

Youth entrepreneurship bases have attracted over 1,300 enterprises from Hong Kong and Macao, while the "10 Measures for Hong Kong and Macao Youth Innovation" have directly benefited 1,865 individuals.

Progress has been made in regulatory alignment, allowing for mutual recognition of 146 overseas professional qualifications.

The opening-up capabilities have been strengthened: Nansha Port has contributed to Guangzhou Port's position among the top 10 ports worldwide, and cross-border trade pilot programs have exceeded $50 billion in transaction volume.

In just one year, Nansha's residential population grew by 110,000, with 70,000 of these being young people, while over 3,000 new businesses registered, significantly boosting urban vitality.

Moving forward, Nansha will prioritize establishing the "Five High-Grounds" – openness, innovation, industry, talent, and livability – deeply integrating into the Greater Bay Area's "One Point, Two Hubs" strategy and working with Hong Kong and Macao to draw in global resources.

Seminar experts proposed that Guangdong and Hong Kong build a robust professional services hub, enhance cooperation in technology, finance, and law, and prioritize talent cultivation and international market connections to help Chinese companies in expand globally.

As a "city of youth" attracting young talent, Nansha is advancing its five ports linkage strategy to create a high-energy platform, writing a new chapter of innovation with Hong Kong and Macao for the world.
