The Nansha Bay coastal pathway is now fully completed and scheduled to open to the public before the National Day holiday.
This project reconnects a previous 5-kilometer segment from Nansha Tianhou Palace to the Humen Bridge, linking seven different sections to create a continuous 10-kilometer ecological corridor.
The project features customized solutions for each segment: the Nansha Tianhou Palace section integrates walking and cycling functions, the Puzhou Garden section restores natural beaches and adds a sea-viewing platform, and the Puzhou Fishing Port section uses elevated walkways to separate pedestrians from vehicles while protecting the environment.
The pathway offers unobstructed sea views and interactive waterfront spaces, while reinforced embankments meet flood and tide prevention standards, enhancing resilience against typhoons and storm surges.
A mist cooling system provides comfort and enjoyment throughout the entire route, enhanced by rest areas with seating, shaded walkways, foot rinse stations, and showers. The cycling paths use slip-resistant, durable materials, and new restrooms serve various needs.
This initiative aims to make Nansha the best place in Guangzhou to enjoy the sea, providing young people with leisure activities such as cycling, beach play, music festivals, and sea-gazing, thus establishing a vibrant new coastal landmark.
