On Aug 18, Guangzhou University and Social Sciences Academic Press jointly published the Blue Book of Guangzhou: Analysis and Forecast of Guangzhou's Economy in China (2025), serving as a key resource for understanding Guangzhou's economic activities. The blue book's research on Nansha focuses on the following three areas.

First, the report recommends relocating relevant institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to Nansha Science City and aims to establish key scientific facilities, like the cold deep ecosystem research center, to boost Nansha's growth in marine technology.

Second, in the wellness sector, Nansha is established as a health service hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It serves as a center for technological innovation, delivering smart wellness solutions, a pioneering area for cross-border elderly care cooperation, an ecological travel and wellness destination, and a testing ground for institutional openness and regulatory innovations.

In conclusion, the report emphasizes that Nansha should capitalize on its strategic platform strengths to drive innovation in tax policies, enhance technological R&D and industrial transformation, and attract key industries such as international shipping, finance, and technology innovation to cluster and sustainable growth.

These recommendations are designed to accelerate Nansha's growth in the economic, technological, and industrial sectors, positioning it as a major growth hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
