The FCVB mimics the function of the natural vitreous body and is made of medical-grade silicone, providing long-term stable support for the retina and preventing enucleation of the eyeball. The third-generation product has optimized the drainage tube and fixation structure, enhancing stability and addressing the global challenge of long-term retention of vitreous substitutes in the eye, with some patients maintaining excellent results for over 16 years after implantation.
Producing the FCVB involves 38 precise manufacturing steps, with a pass rate of only about one-third. More than 300 doctors worldwide have already utilized this technology in over 200 hospitals. The company aims to expand into markets such as the United States and Japan while promoting international clinical standardization.
In the future, the enterprise will establish a high-end ophthalmic research and development platform through industry-university-research collaboration, providing patients with more innovative treatment solutions.
