The 2025 China-Malaysia (Nansha) Business Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Nansha on Aug 6. During the event, the "Belt and Road" International Exchange Association Nansha Office was established and the "Silk Road on the Tip of the Tongue – 'Belt and Road' International Specialty Food Exchange Center" project was launched.
The food exchange center aims to serve as an international platform for culinary cultural exchange and industrial cooperation, helping Nansha's agricultural and food enterprises expand into overseas markets. The project will integrate high-quality domestic and international resources to become a comprehensive online and offline service platform. An offline promotional service location has been set up at Lavande Hotel in Nansha, while an online trading system is currently under development.
During the event, a delegation of 21 young entrepreneurs from Malaysia and Hong Kong engaged in business matchmaking with companies from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in sectors such as agriculture and building materials.
Deng Huisi, president of the Hong Kong Belt and Road International Exchange Center, stated that the organization is committed to helping Chinese enterprises explore international markets while fostering cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
As an important platform for people-to-people exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative, the center will use food culture to enhance international understanding and cooperation, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.
