Nansha welcomes new industrial park

On Jul 15, the launch ceremony and groundbreaking for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area New Materials Chemical Park was held in Huangge town, Nansha district.

This chemical park is located in the Xiaohu Island Chemical Industrial Park in Guangzhou. With a total investment of 2.7 billion yuan ($376.11 million), it includes Class A workshops, warehouses, Class C pilot workshops, and a one-stop hazardous waste treatment system.

As the first project in the Greater Bay Area to establish a legal pilot workshop in a specialized chemical industrial park, it aims to create the province's first full-chain chemical new materials industry base integrating research and development, pilot-scale transformation, and mass production.

According to the plan, the base will help over 50 companies convert research results into practical applications, support the mass production of more than 13 manufacturing enterprises, and help enhance the industrial capabilities of the new materials industry in the Greater Bay Area.
