The finals of the selection competition for the light industry sector in the third Vocational Skills Competition have concluded in Guangzhou.
Tang Weizhong, a contestant from Guangzhou Nanhua Industry and Trade Technician College, was crowned champion in jewelry processing.

Participants were required to create a hairpin featuring an auspicious bird, testing their skills in precision craftsmanship. Tang stood out with his years of practice and aesthetic abilities.
Tang mentioned that jewelry processing demands meticulousness and steady hands. He practices different techniques monthly and enhances his aesthetic sense by watching fashion shows and reading magazines.
Tang's college will focus on improving his training in preparation for the national skills competition in September. As the training base for the WorldSkills Competition's jewelry processing project, the college has been dedicated to nurturing highly skilled individuals.

The college has established deep cooperative relationships with renowned jewelry companies through integrating industry and education, as well as collaborating with businesses to provide students with internships and job opportunities.
