Longxue Island in Guangzhou's Nansha district received significant service upgrades on June 25 to celebrate World Seafarers Day, with the inauguration of the International Seafarers' Crew Change Center, the Greater Bay Area International Seafarers' Crew Change Center, and the Nansha Guomao Seafarers' Departure Tax Refund Store. These initiatives aim to provide seafarers with a more convenient experience.
As of June 24, Nansha Border Protection had cleared over 170,000 inbound and outbound seafarers, with over 2,000 crew members disembarking, marking a 9.3 percent year-on-year increase, a historically high growth rate.

The construction of crew change centers and seafarer service facilities in Nansha offers seafarers more convenient and comfortable resting and shopping areas, driving Nansha's development as an international shipping hub. Seafarers can enjoy a variety of cuisines, entertainment activities, purchase affordable goods, and avail themselves of tax refund benefits.
The establishment of seafarer service centers and departure tax refund stores in Nansha will provide robust support for creating an international maritime service industry cluster in the district.
Nansha has evolved into a vibrant and innovative maritime service center, offering crucial support for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
These projects not only provide seafarers with more convenient services but also demonstrate Nansha's transformation from a shipping hub into a pinnacle of maritime service innovation.
