The Centennial Lychee Culture Expo was held in Shajiao village, Lanhe town, Nansha district on June 7.
The event unveiled the brand and logo of Centennial Lychee, featuring lion dance performances, song and dance shows, and lychee tasting sessions to deepen people's understanding of Shajiao village's lychee culture.
Shajiao village boasts the largest lychee cultivation area in Lanhe town, with 18 ancient lychee trees over 120 years old. The translucent and sweet flesh of the Centennial lychee has garnered high market praise and is currently available for sale on-site and through phone reservations.
The village is seeking professional companies to contract for the maintenance of lychee trees, while also expanding sales channels to boost farmers' income and help vitalize the area.
In the future, Shajiao village will use technology to preserve ancient trees, strengthen lychee culture, and drive shared prosperity among villagers. The lychee tasting session at the event drew crowds, with customers eagerly purchasing the Centennial lychee from ancient trees, sparking a buying frenzy.
