The opening ceremony of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) Nansha Center and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Forum was held on May 21.
HSUHK is a non-profit private university comprising six colleges with over 6,700 full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students.
In line with the Greater Bay Area development plan, HSUHK has established a center in Nansha. As an important part of the Greater Bay Area, the Nansha Center is located within a well-equipped commercial complex adjacent to Innovation Bay, providing a collaborative environment.
Serving as the university's first Chinese mainland office, the Nansha Center is dedicated to expanding cooperation with universities and industry institutions, supporting faculty and students, and fostering research and innovation in education, research, youth entrepreneurship, and employment.
The opening of the Nansha Center showcases the university's commitment to advancing Greater Bay Area development by leveraging competitive advantages across regions.
The university aims to facilitate the sharing of higher education resources in the Greater Bay Area and nurture young talents. This marks a crucial step towards promoting educational integration among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
Leveraging the advantages of the Nansha Center, the university will focus on incubating entrepreneurship among young people and industry-education integration innovation to drive the development of higher education in the Greater Bay Area.
With the favorable policies outlined in the "Nansha Plan", the Nansha Center will expedite the implementation of the "Chinese mainland hardware + Hong Kong and Macao creativity" model, contributing to the coordinated development of the Greater Bay Area.
