As the peak season for Southeast Asian fruit trade arrives, Nansha Port in Guangzhou is experiencing an increase in Thai durian imports.

On May 18, the vessel Dexiang Xiamen docked at the port, delivering 1,564 metric tons of fresh Thai durians, which were distributed to local markets and supermarkets.

Nansha Port collaborates with various stakeholders to introduce cold chain logistics, making durians more accessible to consumers. The port has operated the "Durian Express" for five years, establishing itself as the largest sea import port for durians in China, accounting for over 450,000 tons of various durian varieties, one-third of the country's sea import volume. This year alone, nearly 40 durian vessels have delivered over 25,000 tons.

To expedite customs clearance, Nansha Port teams work closely with the port authorities, implementing a priority entry policy and a pre-arrival quarantine reservation system, ensuring smooth customs processing. Additionally, Nansha Border Inspection Station offers specialized services and convenience measures to streamline the process.

On the port operation front, Nansha Port has established a professional customer service team, collaboratively developing rapid clearance plans, optimizing yard layout through intelligent dispatch systems, achieving cargo connections, providing one-stop refined services, and injecting momentum into the construction of Guangzhou's foreign trade and international shipping hub.
