Nansha: Pioneering collaborative talent development in GBA

More than 50 professional talent institutions from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area gathered in Nansha for a meeting on collaborative talent development on May 10.

During the event, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Talent Cooperation Center was unveiled in Nansha. Representatives from Hong Kong and Macao expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation with cities in the Greater Bay Area to facilitate talent exchange and industrial development.

Nansha, as a pivotal city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao collaboration strategy, has made significant progress in promoting collaborative talent development. The region has established mechanisms to facilitate talent cooperation, including the formation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Talent Cooperation Office and the establishment of an ecosystem alliance comprising 50 professional institutions from the three regions.

Through project-based collaboration, hosting flagship initiatives, organizing forums, and releasing talent rankings, Nansha is promoting talent mobility and recognition of professional qualifications across borders.

The region is also creating a conducive environment for the development of international talent. In joint efforts to attract talent, Nansha has partnered with Hong Kong and Macao, signing a cooperation framework agreement in 2024 to increase talent mobility and industrial growth through various collaborative projects.

Nansha continues to expand employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young talent from Hong Kong and Macao, inspiring numerous enterprises and projects to set up bases and stimulate job creation.

Starting from June, new regulations will provide broader employment channels for young talent from Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha. Additionally, Nansha is implementing talent attraction plans, issuing policies, offering quality positions, hosting job fairs, and garnering attention from a large number of university students, positioning itself as a hub for talent aggregation and innovative development.
