Since its launch in April 2015, the Nansha Pilot Free Trade Zone in Nansha district of Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, has made significant strides towards establishing itself as a key hub for global trade.
A series of achievements underscore the evolution of Nansha over the past decade. Its cross-border e-commerce import and export volume surged from 20 million yuan ($2.74 million) to 46 billion yuan. Nansha has emerged as the country's largest automotive roll-on/roll-off terminal cluster, with projections indicating that tens of thousands of Nansha-produced Chinese vehicles will be sold on the international market in 2025. In 2024, the total import and export value through the Nansha Port breached 1 trillion yuan for the first time.
The Nansha bonded warehouse has evolved into one of the premier models for cross-border e-commerce nationwide over the past decade. The area has established a comprehensive industry chain encompassing platforms, logistics, warehousing, and payment systems.
In January, the volume of automotive exports reached 20,000 vehicles, setting a new record for monthly foreign trade export volume.
The remarkable growth and achievements of Nansha over the past decade have positioned it as a key player in global trade.
