The Nansha Free Trade Zone celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 21. Over the past decade, Nansha has developed new approaches to foreign trade, with industries like cross-border e-commerce experiencing remarkable growth.

From 2014 to 2024, Nansha's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume surged from 20 million yuan ($2.74 million) to over 46 billion yuan, the highest in the country, with stable growth in import operations.

Nansha has evolved into a diverse, full-chain hub for cross-border e-commerce operations with strong influence both domestically and internationally. Numerous globally renowned brands have established national and Asia-Pacific distribution centers in the city. With businesses like TEMU and Shein taking root, Nansha truly embodies the concept of "buying and selling globally".

Nansha is also shaping itself into a hub for China's automobile exports. By 2024, it had opened eight foreign trade automobile export routes covering multiple countries and regions in the Middle East, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. In 2024, Nansha achieved automobile exports worth 9.85 billion yuan, with an anticipated fivefold growth rate during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
