Provincial sports dance championship held in Nansha

The 11th Guangdong University Sports Dance Championship and Youth Sports Dance Competition kicked off with enthusiasm at Nansha International Convention and Exhibition Center on April 12.

Over 900 young athletes from 64 universities, primary and secondary schools, and dance clubs across the province displayed their talents in 265 categories, competing with energy and passion while demonstrating their dance skills, stage presence, and youthful spirit.

With a professional judging panel of over 40 members, including international, national, and top-tier referees, the event exuded exceptional quality. This convergence of sports and art, a celebration of youth and dreams, marked a significant milestone as the Sports Dance Championship debuted in Nansha.

The launch of the university student series competition signifies a new chapter in youth sports events in Nansha. Upcoming tennis, soccer, and badminton events will transform Nansha into an arena where university students of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area can sweat and showcase their prowess.

Teams from Guangdong University of Technology, Guangdong Technology College, and Guangdong Teachers College of Foreign Languages and Arts clinched multiple titles. At the same time, the youth category witnessed a strong presence from numerous dance art schools.
