The Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation (Guangzhou Nansha) held an event of brand exchanges in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on March 20 to explore cooperation between Nansha, a district in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, and Hong Kong in the yachting industry.
The event was attended by over 40 participants, including members of the consultative committee, experts, representatives from One Country Two Systems Research Institute, Hong Kong Boating Industry Association, businesses in both regions, and government officials from Nansha district.
It aims to leverage the platform of the consultative committee to harness the expertise of the committee members and industry experts and engage in discussions on the alignment of regulations, industrial synergy, and consumption upgrades in the yachting industry between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and ultimately, consolidate industry consensus, deepen cooperation in the development of the yachting industry between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and support the high-quality development of the yachting industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Xie Xiaohui, director of the bureau of commerce of Nansha district, outlined the development of the yachting industry in Nansha and the opportunities for cooperation in the sector in the Bay Area.
Noting that Nansha is located at the center of the Bay Area, he called for exploring new paths for cooperation in the yachting industry, tourism consumption, and talent training to help the Bay Area establish itself as a national innovation hub for the yachting industry.
