To attract more people and to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – will introduce a comprehensive package of talent policies targeting key groups including university graduates.

The new measures aim to address various problems and barriers hindering the development of the workforce – ultimately unleashing the potential of talent to entrepreneurship in Nansha.

Under the new policies, university students visiting the district seeking jobs can enjoy three nights of free accommodation, while graduates coming for an interview – including those who haven't been employed within two years of their graduation – are eligible for a complimentary stay of a full seven nights.

Upon employment – or upon embarking on entrepreneurial ventures – they can avail themselves of an additional 15 nights of free accommodation during the transition period.

Candidates for job interviews will receive a subsidy ranging from 300-800 yuan ($41.4-$110.4) for travel expenses. Living allowances of 1,000-4,000 yuan per month will be provided to those working in Nansha for a continuous period of 30 months. Moreover, housing rentals will also be made favorable for them.

In assisting enterprise recruitment efforts, a cost-effective approach is being adopted based on the number of new hires.

Local enterprises recruiting recent graduates will receive a monthly subsidy of 1,000 yuan per person, up to a maximum of 6,000 yuan. For overseas talent, substantial support measures are in place, with the highest support reaching up to 1 million yuan.
