The 2025 Cameroon Investment and Trade Promotion Exchange Conference was held on Feb 27 at Guangdong Medical Valley in Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province.

The meeting aimed to promote economic cooperation between China and Cameroon – a republic located in Central Africa – facilitating their alignment of industrial resources.

To enhance economic exchanges and explore collaborations between the two nations, the conference invited a delegation of five mayors from the United Councils and Cities of Cameroon (UCCC) to deliver speeches.

They presented investment opportunities across a range of areas. These include industrial modernization, new energy, infrastructure, the digital economy and the development of industrial parks – in line with the development plans and project cooperation requirements of local governments in Cameroon.

Additionally, the event included B2B industry matchmaking sessions aimed at addressing the collaborative needs of both nations in various fields.

The UCCC delegation participated in B2B dialogues with representatives from a wide range of industries – including agriculture, e-commerce, medical devices, foreign trade, banking, logistics, mining and tourism.

The conference was widely said to have played a proactive role in advancing the opening-up of Nansha district and fostering economic cooperation between China and Cameroon.
