As the countdown to the 15th National Games commences, the Nansha Sports Center stands completed and accepted after months of enhancements and renovations.

Currently, efforts are being accelerated to improve the underground parking lot, cultural and sports square, and surrounding environment of the venue. This iconic venue, which hosted the Wushu competition during the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, now showcases a brand-new look characterized by green, smart, and sustainable features.

This time, the total renovation area of the Nansha Sports Center reaches 19,587 square meters, with upgrades including core facilities such as audiovisual systems, wooden floors, and seating. The fixed grandstand capacity has been expanded to 6,031 seats, with an additional 2,506 seats on movable stands to flexibly meet the needs of events and public activities.

The upgraded Nansha Sports Center has a refreshed appearance with a more vibrant overall color scheme. Furthermore, to adhere to the economic hosting of events, the original wooden floor from the Asian Games has been refurbished and laid in the auxiliary venue. In contrast, the original display screens from the main venue have been repurposed for the auxiliary venue, achieving resource recycling.

Additionally, the venue has been equipped with intelligent systems, including comprehensive wiring, equipment networks, video surveillance systems, entrance and exit control systems, intrusion alarm systems, and electronic patrol systems.

One-third of the total investment has been allocated to smart technology, which enables comprehensive digital management and control of event operations, security monitoring, equipment integration, and support for the 15th National Games.
