Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, vice-president of Fok Ying Tung Group and a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, views Nansha district in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, as a strong driver of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's development.
Fok made the remarks on his personal social platform, "Toutiao", after visiting Nansha from Feb 22 to 23. The visit was meant to give the delegation a deeper understanding of Nansha's latest development achievements and help promote comprehensive and in-depth cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong in various fields.
He also highlighted the fruitful two-day itinerary, which included on-site investigations into topics such as youth education and entrepreneurship and Nansha's achievements in the integration of culture, tourism and sports.
Fok, who was elected vice-chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, expressed his desire to continue pushing cooperation in the arts among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in an effort to promote Chinese culture globally.
Looking ahead, he hopes to witness more achievements in Nansha's open cooperation and innovative development. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts to facilitate mutual integration and connectivity between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and the necessity of working together to write a new chapter for the vibrant Greater Bay Area.
