The Xiongfengtang Lion Dance Sports Club in Dongli village, Nansha, recently received a letter of appreciation from the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Fellow Townsmen Association of Spain.

The letter expressed gratitude for the club's exceptional lion dance performance at the 2025 Usera Chinese New Year Temple Fair in Madrid, Spain. This captivating display not only highlighted the allure of Chinese traditional culture through lion dance and qilin dance but also underscored the confidence and strong influence of Chinese culture.

During the Spring Festival celebrations of the Year of Snake, Spain hosted a series of Chinese New Year events. Notably, on Feb 1 and 2, a Chinese New Year temple fair and a grand parade took place in Usera, southern Madrid, featuring more than 1,000 performers.

Dressed in snake-inspired costumes, they mesmerized the audience with captivating performances, dragon and lion dances, and music and dance routines. This event stood out as one of the most anticipated highlights of the Spring Festival festivities.
