As of Feb 8, the Nansha International Cruise Port had been in operation for 50 days, hosting 13 voyages and serving more than 53,000 inbound and outbound passengers. The port boasts an average occupancy rate of over 75 percent.

Since Dec 18, 2024, cruise tourism in Nansha has transitioned into regular operations, making cruising from Nansha a new tourism trend in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Leveraging its unique resources, Nansha is developing new forms of cruise and yacht tourism, aiming to promote more international cruise routes for expedited operations and accelerate the yacht industry's development.

Today, many people are choosing to embark on a global journey from Nansha. During the New Year's Day holiday and Spring Festival holidays, Nansha International Cruise Port offered three voyages, attracting over 7,500 passengers, with an average occupancy rate of over 95 percent. During non-holiday periods, cruise passengers are notably trending towards an older demographic.

Statistics reveal that Chinese mainland residents constitute 96.8 percent of cruise passengers, while Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents make up 2.2 percent and foreign tourists account for 1 percent. Visitors from neighboring provinces and regions are the primary consumers of Nansha's cruise products.

To enhance customer services and expedite customs clearance, Nansha has tailored its services by assembling Cantonese and foreign language teams at key customs checkpoints. These teams promptly provide precise guidance and professional consultations to passengers.
