2025 GBA Lantern Festival: spectacle of light, culture, cuisine

On the 15th day of the Spring Festival holiday, the 2025 Greater Bay Area Lantern Festival was a vibrant and bustling affair, drawing crowds and creating a lively atmosphere. Over 100,000 colorful lanterns illuminated the scene like a galaxy, accompanied by a wide array of performances and the much-anticipated lantern parade, all contributing to a joyous spectacle.

In addition to the lantern parade, the park's five sections and nine major performance areas presented a series of shows, including interactive poetic scenes, dances, and vocal performances, showcasing the harmonious coexistence of traditional culture and modern technology, as well as the passionate collision between Lingnan ancient charm and cyber trends, catering to audiences of all ages.

The main route of the Bay Area Lantern Festival spans over three kilometers, featuring 218 sets of lantern displays and over 100,000 colorful lanterns. In addition to the lantern displays, the organizers have planned performances and set up various food areas within the park, bringing together over 2,000 types of specialty foods from quality dining establishments, authentic local souvenirs, and famous snacks from GBA cities, allowing visitors to indulge in culinary delights while enjoying the lanterns and exploring the park.

After the Lantern Festival, there are still many surprises awaiting visitors. It has been reported that activities will be arranged at the performance areas every weekend, including dances, Cantonese opera performances, band performances and themed parades.
