At present, it is the peak season for strawberry ripening. To safeguard the people's food safety, the Nansha agriculture and rural affairs bureau has launched a special supervision action, focusing on the quality and safety of the planting and sales processes of strawberries.

Currently, 32 strawberry planting entities in Nansha have completed registration, with a total planting area of 194 mu (12.93 hectares) distributed across six towns.
In early December last year, the bureau verified the data of the strawberry planting entities to comprehensively understand the growers' information, laying the foundation for regulatory work.
The bureau has established a comprehensive three-dimensional grid supervision mechanism to perform thorough inspections of strawberry planting bases. This process involves a thorough evaluation of the planting environment and management practices. The organization reviews agricultural inputs, pesticide safety intervals, and sales records to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
Simultaneously, it carries out publicity and legal education on agricultural product quality and safety to enhance growers' compliance and safety awareness.
During the New Year holiday, law enforcement officers conducted surprise inspections and sampling at some strawberry planting bases to strengthen risk control in the production process.
So far, 35 batches have been monitored and sampled, with no instances of pesticide residue exceeding standards.
