On Jan 7, Guangzhou Shipyard International Corporation delivered the first of the 7,000-CEU LNG dual-fuel pure car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) built for BYD Group, named BYD HEFEI.

This ship, with a total length of 199.9 meters and a width of 38 meters, features a dual-fuel propulsion system, permanent magnet shaft generators, along with multiple energy-saving measures, making it an environmentally friendly and efficient smart vessel.
With its technological advantage, Guangzhou Shipyard International maintains a global leading position in the car carrier ship market, having built and delivered several car carrier ships, including 12 7,000-CEU LNG dual-fuel PCTC.
The delivery of BYD HEFEI was completed more than 80 days ahead of schedule, showcasing Guangzhou Shipyard International's efficient manufacturing capabilities.

BYD Group, a leading Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, achieved remarkable sales performance, selling over 4.27 million new energy vehicles in 2024, consistently securing various sales championships.
BYD Group plans to build two such car carrier ships by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International to enhance China's domestic car export transportation capabilities.
BYD HEFEI's operation will provide new momentum for the internationalization of Chinese automotive brands.
This collaboration signifies the successful partnership between Guangzhou Shipyard International and BYD Group, leveraging their respective strengths to jointly promote the coordinated economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
