The Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2024 is set to be held in Nansha from Nov 16 to 18, attracting a constellation of stars from the scientific community, including Nobel laureates, recipients of the highest national science and technology awards, and other top scientists.
Nansha is set to start the "Chinese Academy of Sciences Guangdong Science and Technology Achievement Matchmaking Conference" on Nov 17 and 18, featuring 240 exhibited projects.

During the forum, 25 collaborative projects from Nansha are set to be prominently showcased, encompassing aerospace, oceanography, agriculture, high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing, new energy storage, and renewable energy. Equipment such as the "Explore 6000" autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), the Liaoyue comprehensive scientific research vessel, blended-wing-body drones, and the Kinetica-1 are set to all make appearances.
Multiple sub-forums are set to be held on Nov 18, focusing on fields like marine science, marine industry, and low-altitude economic development. The sub-forum on marine science and industry is set to concentrate on deep-sea ecological conservation and utilization. In contrast, the strategic sub-forum on low-altitude economic development is set to explore market dynamics, airspace considerations, and technological factors and drive low-altitude economic development.
In addition to the professional forums, Nobel Prize laureates, fields medalists, and other international scientists are set to visit campuses to interact with students, share scientific knowledge and spirit, inspire young people's curiosity and thirst for knowledge in science, and enhance the scientific and cultural atmosphere of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
