The first batch of soft landscape trees, including iconic Lingnan species like Phoenix trees and Podocarpus, as well as distinctive plants such as the Kapok tree, Bauhinia, and Lotus, have been planted, highlighting the botanical theme of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Moreover, it has introduced a variety of Azalea and Bald Cypress to ensure a year-round display of blooms and a diverse changing landscape.
The project team has completed cultivating over 300 key trees in Guangdong province and surrounding areas, advancing the rapid planting of trees in the western area of the sports field.
It is expected that approximately 3,000 trees are set to be fully planted by the end of December this year, with the overall landscape effect set to be unveiled by the end of March next year.
Located by 21 Creek in Nansha district, the complex is a large urban complex integrating cultural, tourism, and sports functions.
Currently, in the peak period of comprehensive construction involving metal roofing, curtain walls, electromechanical systems, and interior decoration, the project aims to achieve delivery and trial operation conditions by March 30, 2025.
