Nansha company leads tropical ornamental fish industry

The Guangzhou Green Nature Agricultural Development Company in Xinsha village, Dagang town, Nansha district, is the only Chinese mainland member enterprise of the Ornamental Fish International (OFI), the largest tropical ornamental fish breeding base in China, and the world's leading producer and seller of four major species including ornamental rice shrimp.

The company has steadily grown since its establishment in Xinsha village in 2009, leveraging local geographical and climatic advantages to become China's largest ornamental fish farming base.

The company has 6,500 fish tanks, 2,300 fishponds, and a total planned area of 333 mu (22.2 hectares). The first phase of the project covers 85 mu, the second phase covering 57 mu is set to be completed by the end of this year, and the third phase, planning for 191 mu, is scheduled to start construction next year, aiming to become the largest domestic ornamental fish farming leisure and tourism complex.

With over 130 employees, the company provides employment opportunities for local villagers, promoting rural vitalization and increasing villagers' income.

Green Nature Company operates 210 varieties of tropical ornamental fish, with 15 species ranking first in global production and sales. The company has also independently developed four globally unique breeds and mass-produced five species. With an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan ($14million), it has become a leading brand in the ornamental fish industry in China.
