Medical device innovation, entrepreneurship competitions held in Nansha

On Nov 2, Nansha district, Guangzhou, hosted the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Guangdong · Guangzhou Division) along with the 2024 Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the Medical Device Industry and the 7th China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the Greater Bay Area Special Competition.

The event attracted over 120 medical device companies and investment institutions, with 82 companies participating and showcasing domestic medical device technological innovation achievements.

Deng Sihui, vice chairman of the the CPPCC Nansha District Committee, emphasized Nansha's position as the geographical center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, highlighting its complete industrial elements and excellent ecology as the core of innovative development. He invited outstanding teams to settle in Nansha and share development opportunities.

The final competition produced the top 10 in the start-up group and the top 20 in the growth group to participate in the finals. Nanzhi Xinshi Technology Company and Shenzhen CAS-Envision Medical Technology Company won the first prize.

During the event, a precise enterprise demand matching meeting was held to promote the transformation of innovative achievements. Enterprise representatives engaged in face-to-face exchanges with investment institutions and experts, driving the upgrading of the medical device industry chain.
