The China-South Africa Shipping and Logistics Elite Forum was held on Sept 20 in Nansha district and during the event logistics and shipping to Africa were considered in detail.
The forum heard from various entities – including the Nansha commerce bureau, Nansha customs and the Guangzhou Port Group – whose representatives introduced the district's shipping and logistics policies, customs facilitation measures, infrastructure and route operations.

They showcased the comprehensive advantages of Nansha as an international shipping and logistics hub in terms of hardware facilities, route services, customs clearance environment and policy support.
Attendees from businesses and organizations also delivered presentations on the logistics service capabilities and professional team advantages of international professional platforms – fostering cooperation in shipping and logistics between China and Africa.
What's more, the Nansha Shipping and Logistics Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Yangtze River Shipping Alliance and Tianjin Multimodal Transport Association.
Under its terms, they proposed the establishment of a long-term and stable international logistics forum mechanism in Nansha, designed to strengthen China-Africa shipping and logistics cooperation – enhancing industry efficiency and standards.
Wang Xubin, chairman of the China-Africa Logistics Cooperation Platform, emphasized Nansha's unparalleled advantages in China-Africa trade and shipping.
As a vital hub port in South China with the richest array of African shipping routes and the broadest coverage, Nansha has opened 25 African shipping routes – serving as a crucial maritime trade gateway linking to the African market.
