On Sept 14, a container truck loaded with breaded squid rings and vegetable spring rolls, pre-packaged vegetables, passed customs inspection at the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Processing Zone and is set to be shipped to the United States.
This marks the first clearance for export in the first batch of pre-packaged vegetable products from the Nansha Pre-packaged Vegetable Industry Park, with more products expected to be exported through the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone in the future.
Nansha aims to establish an RCEP agricultural cooperation hub, further promote customs facilitation, and explore new inspection and quarantine models for imports and exports.
Zhang Yituan, chairman of Guangzhou Yuntian Cold Chain and founder of Guangzhou Xueyin Food Company, pointed out that current exports of pre-packaged vegetables mainly rely on long-distance cold chain logistics, facing challenges such as high costs and long transportation times. While consolidating shipments for export involves coordination among multiple manufacturers and products, it remains a necessary route.
Located in the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Logistics Park in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Yuntian Cold Chain is a designated inspection site for imported meat by the General Administration of Customs, offering comprehensive logistics services covering ambient, refrigerated, and frozen temperature zones.
After inspection at the production site, pre-packaged vegetables can be declared for entry, allowing factories to apply for tax refunds. Subsequently, Guangzhou Yuntian Cold Chain arranges shipments to destination countries, optimizing the entire industry chain system.
