The development and construction management bureau of the Nansha New District Industrial Park recently held a special meeting to advance the construction of Nansha Hub's South Square project.

The Phase I project for Nansha Station is set to begin, with full operation and opening to traffic expected by March 2028. The Nansha Hub's main facilities are Nansha Station, an underground urban corridor, a taxi holding area, an elevated drop-off platform for cars, municipal supporting parking lots, and surface urban corridors.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the current state and planning of the transportation network, discussed development vision goals, examined development design proposals, and considered land use optimization suggestions. They also collaboratively explored solutions to address challenges.

As the project's construction management department, the bureau prioritizes the development and construction of the Nansha Hub. Nansha Station, with a total construction area of 120,000 square meters, is an important auxiliary station for Guangzhou's "five main and four auxiliary" passenger hub.

In the long term, Nansha Station is expected to surpass the scale of Baiyun Station, introducing multiple railway lines to connect major cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This expansion will accelerate the integration of industries, talents, and technologies into Nansha, establishing it as a key node on both sides of the Pearl River estuary, and facilitating efficient connectivity between multiple cities.
