Nansha mechanical factory transformed into new rural demonstration zone

A mechanical factory built in 1970 in Huangge village, Nansha, has been transformed into a new rural demonstration zone, becoming a base for intangible cultural heritage inheritance and development.

The construction progress of this demonstration zone is already over halfway, with multiple projects having completed renovation. On July 31, the first batch of cooperative projects was signed at the base.

National-level intangible cultural heritage representative Tan Guanghui stated during the event that he would establish a studio at the base to train more inheritors of the Kwon-Glazed Porcelain firing technique. Another municipal representative of Cantonese Embroidery craftsmanship, Wang Xinyuan, is expected to also open a studio at the base dedicated to the inheritance and development of Guang embroidery craftsmanship.

The base also includes the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Traditional Classic Car Exchange and Display Center, showcasing vintage classic cars. The Guangdong Automobile Culture Promotion Association has expressed intentions to display several traditional classic cars here to enhance Huangge's classic ambiance.

Covering an area of 4.12 square kilometers, this project aims to create a consumption experience base integrating ancient culture, rural tourism experiences, and forest leisure.

Nansha is poised to accelerate the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism development, supporting the comprehensive vitalization of rural areas.
