Over the upcoming week, 39 teenagers will visit various locations, including the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Port, the sizeable maritime patrol vessel Sea Patrol 09, the Guangzhou Maritime Surveying and Mapping Base, the South China Sea Museum of Marine Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to experience and learn, deepening their understanding of maritime culture.
This activity aims to lead the public to closely experience the vigorous development of new marine productivity in the South China region, collectively building a beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
Wu Yingxuan from Macao expressed that this was her second time participating in the maritime summer camp, and the environment and warmth of the people in Nansha left a deep impression on her.
Nansha, as Guangzhou's only major gateway to the sea, manages 50.8 percent of Guangzhou's Maritime area and covers 68 percent of its coastline. It is developing maritime trade, maritime finance, maritime services, cruise and yacht tourism, and other maritime service industries.
Nansha is dedicated to creating an international maritime service industry cluster, enhancing cooperation with Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, constructing a more vibrant port-side economic growth pole, and aiding Nansha in becoming an international maritime hub.
