Nine renowned design units conducted a draw to select three waterfront public space plots in the Jiaomen River central area, focusing on a vibrant waterfront to enhance the functionality and quality of the Nansha city center.
Design requirements include utilizing advanced concepts such as green, low-carbon, and ecological resilience, as well as engaging in a one-month planning and design process to ultimately determine the best solution.
The construction progress of the Nansha city center area is proceeding smoothly, with the Jiaomen River central area already substantially developed, emphasizing administrative offices, public services, commercial activities, and residential functions.
The development work in areas like Lingshan Island Head, Hengli Island Head, and Hui Valley West is steadily advancing and will continue to progress through updated approaches.
Nansha is poised to execute the Guangdong Future Urban Comprehensive Pilot Project with a focus on key objectives such as green resilience, humanistic livability, and intelligent innovation. Through this initiative, Nansha aims to actively establish a model area for the future city, showcasing innovative urban development strategies.
