A cherry blossom festival is to be launched on Eighteen-Arhat Mountain Forest Park, Dagang town in Nansha district since March 9.
The festival endeavors to highlight the distinctive features of Nansha district and Dagang town through a wealth of offerings. Within the scenic venue, nearly 30 mu (2 hectares) of cherry blossom gardens boast 1,000 Guangzhou cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
Visitors are invited to partake in a wide range of activities, including admiring the cherry blossoms, experiencing wedding and Hanfu cultures, learning the art of stone milling, and enjoying a Cantonese opera performance by a national-level acclaimed actress.
In addition, the festival features four prominent characteristic bazaars. Visitors have the opportunity to taste a diverse array of Dagang specialties, such as Dagang barbecued chicken, Tanzhou sugar cane, and seasonal delicacies. Besides, the inaugural presentation of Dagang's cultural and creative products, such as the ice creams, is scheduled for this occasion.
