The main structure of the first section of the underground ring road in the Guangzhou Nansha Pearl Bay Area Starting Area Phase II (Hengli Island Tip) Land Development Project has recently been completed, which will contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional transportation system for Hengli Island Tip.

The underground ring road is located at the core of the commercial and office development of Hengli Island, with the main service areas including business, commerce, retail, culture, and mixed-use land. The total length of the ring road is approximately 5.92 kilometers, and the entire project resembles the shape of a "key."

The underground ring road is located west of the International Financial Forum's (IFF) permanent site. It is anticipated to be developed as an underground main thoroughfare connecting the IFF's permanent site.

The project also includes public underground spaces and a comprehensive pipe gallery system, divided into five levels, involving a total underground space of 71,400 square meters, an underground ring road of 5.92 km, and a comprehensive pipe gallery of 4.9 km.

Upon completion, this project is set to improve the transportation efficiency of Hengli Island Tip, save ground space, reduce surface ecological pressure and noise, and provide more urban space for residents. These enhancements are expected to improve the quality of life on Hengli Island Tip. The overall project is expected to be completed by 2025.
