10km of greenways, waterways enhance Dongchong's natural beauty

In 2023, Dongchong town undertook the construction of 10 kilometers of greenways and waterways, seamlessly integrating ecological landscapes. The pristine waters and verdant shores combine to form a picturesque scene, where citizens leisurely stroll and cycle along the greenways, while boats navigate through the azure waves.

The projects completed include the Shawan Waterway (from Liye Road to Sansha Port Road), the Rural Vitalization Demonstration Belt Waterway (sections in Make, Xili, and Wanzhou villages), and the Liugang Waterway (section in Xiaowu village).

Each winding greenway or waterway in Dongchong town boasts distinctive design and construction features, gradually transforming into sought-after leisure destinations for its citizens. These developments consistently contribute to the heightened happiness and satisfaction levels in the lives of the local residents.

It is planned that an additional 20 km of greenways and greenways and waterways will be added between 2023 and 2027.
