China recently released the performance evaluation results for developing national comprehensive bonded zones in 2022, with a total of 138 regions participating.

The Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Guangzhou continues to lead the pack and becomes the only customs special supervision area in Guangdong province to receive an A-level performance rating.

Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone ranked in the top 20 percent nationwide in three categories of indicators: scale efficiency, quality efficiency, and innovation in business models. The indicator for cross-border e-commerce import and export value even ranked first nationwide!

In the first three quarters of 2023, the zone achieved a total import and export volume of 86.77 billion yuan ($12.12 billion), representing a year-on-year growth of approximately 6 percent. The cross-border e-commerce import and export volume in Nansha reached 73.48 billion yuan, showing a year-on-year increase of approximately 179 percent. The import and export value of automotive products in Nansha amounted to 4.91 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year growth of approximately 420 percent.

Located at the geographical center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone is adjacent to the Nansha Port Area. Within an 80-kilometer radius, it brings together 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area and five major international airports.

The Nansha Port Area has opened 189 container liner routes, including 155 foreign trade routes connecting to more than 310 ports in over 120 countries and regions worldwide. The "sea-land-air-rail" comprehensive trade and logistics hub is rapidly taking shape, equipped with world-class port and shipping conditions.
