The fourth phase of Nansha Port, a fully automated terminal, marked a notable achievement in its first year of operation by handling 1.5 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), surpassing the annual target 13 days ahead of schedule.

This year, the port not only introduced three new shipping routes and managed over 300 vessel operations, but also saw its throughput soar by over 120 percent. The terminal achieved system integration with Nansha Container Terminals Phase I and II, enhancing cross-terminal operations and boosting its overall capacity.

The port innovated with the "One Center, Seven Platforms" system, a facial recognition system at gates, and a management system for operational contracting, ensuring efficient port operations.

It also implemented over 30 improvements, including IGV (Intelligent Guided Vehicle) scheduling and rail-mounted gantry crane optimizations. The equipment availability rate reached 99.8 percent, reflecting robust monitoring and management.

The terminal's commitment to technology was evident with 86 upgrades to its information system, increasing the system test pass rate to 92.5 percent. This technological prowess contributed to significant increases in liner vessel operational efficiencies and average berth productivity.

The fourth phase of Nansha Port has also seen a number of laudable accomplishments including receiving two patents and two software copyrights, along with prestigious awards for port science and technology. These accolades underscore its role in driving the port's transformation and efforts to promote green and high-quality development.
