The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and Film Culture Exchange Event was held in Nansha Innovation Bay on Dec 12.

This event aimed to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the respective ICH items and film cultures of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, while also promoting the vitalization, innovation, and prosperous development of local ICH and the film industry.

Nansha boasts abundant ICH resources, such as Mazu customs, Xianshui songs, and Qilin dance. These unique forms of cultural heritage provide rich materials for film creation, allowing the integration of local culture into cinematic works, and showcasing the distinctive charm of the district.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural Exchange Center was also unveiled on the same day. It is expected to promote the clustering of cultural industries from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in Nansha through a series of talent services and the construction of cultural industry parks, aiming to create a new model of collaborative development.

Additionally, the center will strengthen the integration of local ICH items with modern technology. By leveraging such cutting-edge developments as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), it will construct a new platform for the development of local ICH.
