Nansha district bureau of commerce, in Guangzhou, and the Bali Tourism Promotion Board, in Indonesia, signed a memorandum of exchange and cooperation related to cruise routes on Dec 11.
The two sides are expected to jointly promote the exchange and development of new cruise routes, which will ultimately enhance friendly relations.
On that day, Dr Ben Perkasa Drajat, consul general of Indonesia in Guangzhou, and Mr Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana, head of the Bali Tourism Promotion Board, visited Nansha to learn about the carrying capacity, historical navigation conditions, and tourism resources of the Nansha International Cruise Home Port.
It is the first cruise home port in China to achieve seamless connection with the subway. Buses, taxis, and the Hong Kong-Macao water passenger line are also all nearby.
The number of its port inspection channels ranks among the top in China. It is also one of the largest cruise home port complexes in Asia, with berths capable of accommodating ships that weigh up to 225,000 metric tons.
