Global conference on climate investment, financing to open in Nansha

The Pearl Bay International Climate Investment and Financing Conference, which is running under the banner of "Climate Finance for a Better World," will be held in Nansha, Guangzhou from Nov 17 to 18.

It aims to promote the development of the green and low-carbon industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by creating a diverse and international ecosystem of "financial intelligence + climate investment" services.

The conference plans to set up one main and three overseas branch venues, including the opening ceremony, main forum, and themed forums. It will bring together leaders from various departments in the field of climate investment and financing from across the country.

Government officials from the host cities of the three overseas branch venues (Paris, Singapore, and Dubai) will participate, along with global financial institutions, experts and scholars, climate investment and financing professional committees, and other organizations.  

The conference is expected to provide a platform for dialogue between government and business, explore new paths for green and low-carbon development, and collaborate on climate change reform and innovation.
